Where we are

We're live.
Here's how we got here.

Sequins is built in the open, with the people who use it. It's free to download today on iPhone and Android.

  1. The app is built

    Done

Three roles, event discovery, tickets with QR door check-in, lineups and gig invites, tips, payouts and a marketplace for commissions.

  2. First beta builds

    September 2026

Sequins runs on real phones through TestFlight (iPhone) and Google Play testing (Android). Our own first walkthrough turned up 21 fixes, all shipped in one build.

  3. Open beta

    October 2026

Performers, hosts and fans got early access while we found and fixed what broke.

  4. Real payments

    October 23

Live payments are on. A real ticket sold, got checked in at the door, paid out to the host and refunded cleanly.

  5. App Store & Google Play approval

    November 4

Apple and Google both approved Sequins.

  6. Public launch

    Live now

Free to download in the US and Canada. Shows in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco to start, with more cities as the scene joins.

  7. Founding members

    Through November 15

Performers who make a profile and hosts who post a real show by November 15 get founding perks.

Our foundation

Built by the community,
for the community.

Sequins is a queer-led project rooted in Portland's drag scene. It's a safe, explicitly LGBTQ+-affirming space — zero tolerance for hate, full support for every performer and fan who walks through the door.

Founding spots open until Nov 15 · first 25
